When is swap charged or paid to my account?
At rollover each day.

If you close your positions before rollover, no swaps are charged or paid on those positions. Swap only applies to positions held at rollover.

What is 3-day swap?
3-day swap is to cover swap for Saturday and Sunday. You do not need to hold positions over Saturday and Sunday for 3-day swap to apply to you. If you hold positions at 5pm Wednesday New York time, 3-day swap will be charged or paid to your account regardless of if you held these positions over the weekend.
How will swap be displayed in my account?
We debit or credit swap, if applicable, each day directly to your balance. We do not add it to your open position. Therefore, you may see daily withdrawals or deposits to your account. This is due to swap. It will show up in your Account History as “RO” which stands for “Rollover”.
How do public holidays affect swap calculation?
Swap is charged or paid on the day before the public holiday to cover the public holiday. For example, if Monday is a public holiday, the Friday prior is subject to 2-day swap. 1 day for the Friday and an extra day to cover for the Monday.
What is rollover?
Rollover is when the market is closed for a few minutes each day so that swap can be charged or paid to positions held at rollover.

07. Trade Conditions for Forex
Are you an STP, ECN or Market Maker broker?
We are a Market Maker. Our account conditions and liquidity are far more beneficial to you than a typical ECN account. ECN accounts route their orders through to a liquidity provider/aggregator or Market Maker. As our volume is so large we can operate as our own liquidity provider for a lot of our flow. However, this classes us as a market maker.
Do you fill orders via market execution or instant execution?
We fill all entry orders via instant execution. Take Profit orders are also filled instantly while Stop Loss orders are the only ones filled at market.
Do you requote?
No, we do not. If your order is rejected, this is not a requote. This is because as standard, we fill you with no slippage. Instead of slipping you to a price you did not want, we prefer to reject your order. We believe it is a fairer way of doing business. To improve your fill rate, you can increase your maximum slippage tolerance. We will still fill you at the best available price but if the price moves, we will not slip you more than what you have accepted. Contact us at support@sec.rakuten.com.au on how to set your slippage tolerance.
Why are my orders not being filled?
Your order is not filled if there is slippage and you have not set a maximum slippage tolerance. As standard, we fill all orders instantly with no slippage. Instead of slipping you to a price you did not want, we prefer to reject your order. We believe it is a fairer way of doing business. To improve your fill rate, you can increase your maximum slippage tolerance or decrease your ping (connection speed) by installing a VPS (see above). We will still fill you at the best available price but if the price moves, we will not slip you more than what you have accepted. Contact us at support@sec.rakuten.com.au on how to set your slippage tolerance.
Do you slip orders?
As standard, we fill all entry orders with no slippage. If the price moves, we reject your order rather than fill you with slippage. We believe this is a fairer way of doing business. Only stop loss orders are filled at market to ensure execution and these are subject to slippage.
Can I control my slippage?
Yes, we allow you to select the maximum amount of slippage, in pips, that you are willing to accept. Select this in the MT4 deal ticket window or in Tools > Options > Trade. We still fill you at the best available price but will reject your order if the slippage is greater than your maximum tolerance you have specified.
How fast is your order execution?
We fill all entry orders in a matter of milliseconds.
Where are your servers located?
Our servers are in Tokyo and Australia.
